I would like to thank MSNBC for the honor they gave my cousin Cpl. Sean Stokes by naming him a patriot. Words like "Hero, Courage, and Selflessness" are thrown into conversations too easily. Most of those people who want to claim an athlete as a "hero" or their performance in a game as "heroic" lessen the value of those words. Words that should mean more to the country than they do. My cousin was a great man, someone who gave of himself, selflessly, for a cause greater than him. He volunteered to fight for this country to which he "gave the last full measure of devotion." I have always been extremely proud of my cousin for what he chose to do with the short time he had on this earth. Thank you again MSNBC for pointing out to the world that there is more going on than what people want to see. And thank you to all of the other news stations for showing the world what he has done. Lastly thank you to all of the other soldiers and their families for doing what has been necessary to defend this country from all enemies foreign and domestic.MM3 Cameron Stokes (USN)

Thanks for remembering Sean Stokes. I know his father and he must have been a remarkable person to have gathered such honor. I wish he didn't have to die.
